Jelle Wallays wins stage 18 of Vuelta a Espana

Belgium’s Jelle Wallays has sprinted to victory in the stage 18 of the Vuelta A Espana on a course that saw no categorized climbs.

Wallays finished in 3 hours, 57 minutes and 3 seconds. Sven Erik Bystrom settled for second place while Peter Sagan finished third.

Simon Yates retained his 25-seconds overall lead to stay above Alejandro Valverde and Enric Mas Nicolau.

Friday’s 19th stage is a mountainous 154.4 kilometer ride from Lerida to the Naturlandia nature park in Andorra.
