US tactic on Palestine: Taking core issues off the table
The administration of US President Donald Trump this week ordered to shut down the office of the Palestinian Liberation Organization in Washington which was the de facto embassy of the Palestinian Authority in the US.
Trumps National Security Adviser John Bolton described the move as a punishment of the Palestinian Authority for calling on Israel to be investigated by the International Criminal Court the ICC.It drew an immediate reaction from the Palestinians with a top official saying it was a yet another evidence of the Trump administrations policy to collectively punish the Palestinian people.
