It’s logical for the US federal government to collect taxes from organizations and individuals. How that money is spent has been a decades-old debate. Average Americans, who recently filed their tax returns, are estimated to shell out 10,000 dollars every year.
Yet they have a vague sense of where their money ends up. Over the years more Americans have been discussing the notion that they have a say as to how the government spends their tax dollars.
One report found that over the past two decades more than one-third of the highest-paid CEOs led companies that were subsidized by American taxpayers. Meanwhile, others say President Trump’s idea of a big military parade at the expense of tax dollars amounts to government waste.
