US using Saudis to provoke sectarianism in region: Activist
An activist believes the United States is “manipulating” certain regional states, including Saudi Arabia, to “constantly provoke and generate sectarian strife.”
The comments came after Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said the US was instigating Saudi Arabia and certain other regional countries to start a confrontation with Iran.
“Saudi Arabia has been the pioneer of sectarian problems within the Muslims for pretty much its entire existence … so when Ayatollah Khamenei says that America is attempting to provoke Saudi Arabia against Tehran, this is actually very true because right now … the real power in Saudi Arabia is [Crown Prince Mohammed] Bin Salman and this guy is a complete puppet of America,” Shabbir Hassanally told Press TV in an interview on Monday.
