The Iran men’s national under-16 basketball team has ended its campaign at the Fédération internationale de basket-ball (FIBA) U16 Men's Asian Championship, and finished seventh at the conclusion of the continental competitions.
The Iranian team, which had lost to South Korea 84-90 the previous day, defeated the Lebanese squad 95-82 (19-21, 30-18, 26-21 and 20-22) in their last fixture at the Foshan Lingnan Mingzhu Gymnasium on Sunday.
The FIBA U16 Men’s Asian Championship kicked off in the central Chinese city of Foshan on April 2, and concluded on April 8, 2018.
It was the qualifying tournament for FIBA Asia at the 2018 FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup.
Australia, China, New Zealand and the Philippines booked their places in the prestigious international event.
