A political commentator says North Korea genuinely wants a “more peaceful relationship” with its southern neighbor, but the US is bent on “sabotaging” the rapprochement between the two Koreas, which are currently attending Winter Olympics under a unified peninsula flag.
“The United States seems absolutely intent upon sabotaging any kind of goodwill that the DPRK tries to maintain with the South or the surrounding countries,” Jason Unruhe told Press TV on Saturday.
The US has made it very clear that there would be “new sanctions” against North Korea even as Pyongyang tries to make “overtures of peace,” the political analyst noted.
