Liverpool have kept up their Christmas spirit and their place in the English Premier League's top four by destroying bottom side Swansea City 5-0 at Anfield.

The Reds went ahead after six minutes through Philippe Coutinho, who scored an absolute screamer on his 200th Liverpool appearance before Roberto Firmino doubled the hosts' advantage seven minutes into the second half.

19-year-old full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold found his side’s third in the 65th minute as he picked up on a loose ball in the box and smashed-in, off the bar. But, that was not all. Firmino and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain added two more to hand the hosts the deserved 5-0 victory and the three points on Boxing Day.

The result means the Reds reclaim the 4th spot from Tottenham and restore their one-point advantage over the Londoners.
