15,000-year-old mammoth skeleton up for auction in Lyon

Aguttes auction house in Lyon is displaying a 15,000-year-old mammoth skeleton before its auction on December 16.

According to art expert Eric Mickeler, who has been following the journey of the specimen since its discovery, the size and the state of preservation of the skeleton make it exceptional.

The skeleton, which was found in Siberia, has been estimated to be worth between 450,000 and 490,000 euros.
