European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker has refused to talk about how much the Brexit "divorce settlement" would need to be to satisfy the EU.
"I'm not crazy enough to give an immediate answer to your question," Juncker said in Bern, Switzerland.
Juncker also told reporters that he could not say whether negotiations with the UK had made sufficient progress to move to the second phase of discussing the future relationship between the UK and the EU.
He confirmed that he would hold a meeting with British Prime Minister Theresa May on December 4 to discuss "all these things."
