The Syrian army has made strategic gains against Daesh and other Takfiri groups in the country. Army troops and allied forces have managed to liberate 85 percent of the strategic eastern city of Dayr al-Zawr from Daesh terrorists. The latest victories have raised hopes of the ultimate defeat of Daesh in Syria. But how do major media outlets evaluate Syria army gains?
