A gorgeous dragon parade has taken place in Macao on the first day of Lunar Year 2017.
A plus 200-meter-long golden dragon followed by 18 lions pranced and snaked around the ruins of Saint Paul’s in China's Macao Special Administrative Region.
The performance then continued with a colorful parade down the main streets all the way to Sai Van Lake Square.
Thousands of onlookers marched alongside the dragon and the lions, wishing good fortune and prosperity in the year of the rooster.
Various other New Year mascots and dressed up people also appeared during the event passing out festive red envelopes to spectators.
