A newly released video in Russia has shown remnants of what might be a missing British battle ship named the Black Sea Prince.

The ship was thought to have been lost amid the siege of ‘Sevastopol’ during the Crimean War some 160 years ago.

Historians believe the Black Sea Prince was carrying 30 barrels of gold to pay the wages of soldiers fighting in the war and to help fund the battle.

It went down because of bad weather, along with a number of other British ships. Officials say efforts are now underway to recover the ships and that any artifacts found will be moved to a museum of underwater archaeology.
