The US state of Florida has hosted the third annual International Sand Art Competition.
Renowned sand sculptors from different countries have attended the event. Artists from the US, Canada, and Singapore took on about 6,000 kilograms of sand to create huge sculptures.

The creations ranged from depictions of a chugging train to people’s modern-day pre-occupation with their cell phones. Organizers say artists are free to choose their subjects.
The artists are required to create their sculptures from only sand and water, using a few simple hand tools like trowels and brushes.
