In the 2016 Copa America, Chile have booked their spot in the quarterfinals of the competitions after defeating Panama 4-2 in an action-packed match.

Panama shocked the Chilean crowed at the Lincoln Financial Field Stadium on Thursday as they took the lead after just 5 minutes on Miguel Camargo's powerful shot.

Chile, however, struck back after 10 minutes and leveled the scoring through Eduardo Vargas. Juan Antonio Pizzi’s men then snatched the lead in the 43rd minute when Vargas scored his second goal of the match with a beautiful header.

5 minutes after the break, Alexis Sanchez lashed a venomous volley into the top corner to make it 3-1 for his side.

Panama found some hope in the 75th minute and managed to cut Chile’s advantage to 3-2 on Abdiel Arroyo’s awesome header.

But, Sanchez sealed his team’s spot in the last 8 by making it 4-2 in the 88th minute with a great header. Chile will take on Mexico in the quarter-finals.
