Sailor rescued after being stranded at sea for 2 months

A Colombian sailor has been rescued after being stranded on a small fishing boat in the Pacific Ocean for 2 months.

Thousands of people have been lost at sea, never to be seen or heard from again, but yet, there are a small handful that survive against every odd. That’s the case with this Colombian sailor who was rescued after a staggering two months lost at sea.

The 29-year-old and his three companions became stranded on a small fishing boat in the Pacific Ocean after their engine failed. The three men died leaving the sailor alone.

He survived by eating fish and seagulls. The sailor was spotted by a merchant ship more than 2000 miles south-east of Hawaii. The man has now been handed over to the Colombian consulate and is in good health.
