Barcelona demolishes Sporting Gijon 6-0
In the Spanish La Liga, Luis Suarez was the star of the night at the camp Nou, as giants Barcelona demolished Sporting Gijon 6-nil.
The Catalans just couldn’t have asked for a better Start on Saturday as they managed to take the lead in the 12th minute through Argentinean Ace Leonel Messi who Looped a Header into the unguarded goal to make it 1-0.
Luis Suarez then made it 2 for the hosts in the 63rd minute to take his Goal Tally to an incredible 53 Goals in all competitions this season.
Barca were awarded a penalty 10 minutes later and Suarez stepped-up and calmly converted from the spot to put the home side in the Driving Seat.
But Luis Enrique’s men didn’t Stop There. They won a penalty again in the 77th minute and Suarez completed his Hat-Trick with a cool strike, making it 4-0.
The hosts got their 3rd penalty 5 minutes from Time, but this time Brazilian Star Neymar stood behind the ball for Barca's 5th of the night.
And then Suarez added his 4th in the 88th minute, as Barca returned to the Top of the LA LIGA Standings, ahead of both Atletico and Real Madrid.
