Protesters in Annapolis in the US state of Maryland have marked the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr.,  a prominent leader of the African-American Civil Rights Movement. The protesters also denounced police brutality in the US, and called for stricter laws to hold the police force accountable. Anger has been mounting in the past months over an increasing rate of police killing of unarmed people including blacks.
