Over 26 million pilgrims attended Arba’een in Iraq

Iraqi officials say over 26 million pilgrims made their way to the holy city of Karbala this week to take part in Arba’een commemorations. More than four million are reported to have been Iranian nationals. Iraqi officials have hailed the security forces for their success in protecting this year's event from any act of terrorism.
