Another peer has abandoned Labour benches in the House of Lords over Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership of the party.
Lord Grabiner is the second peer who resigned the Labour whip in recent days.
“I have nothing in common whatever with Mr Corbyn – and I don’t believe we are ever going to win an election,” the barrister and master of Clare College Cambridge was quoted as saying by the British media.
He also described Corbyn’s plans as “terribly damaging” which leave “no effective opposition” to Tories.

Grabiner said he was concerned about the appointment of John McDonnell as shadow chancellor.
He said will remain a party member but will sit as a crossbencher.
Grabiner’s resignation came five days after former junior health minister Lord Warner abandoned the Labour whip.

Warner has warned that the Labour party did not have a "hope in hell" of winning power under Corbyn.
The new Labour leader has come under increasing fire from the members of the party over his controversial views.
Corbyn has particularly been criticized for his appointment of senior staff in his team.
