Australian doctors reattach toddler’s head to spine

Australian doctors reattach toddler’s head to spine

This truly amazing story is now spreading all over the world. A 16-months-old baby boy in Australia has been given a second chance to live after doctors performed a miraculous surgery on him.

Jackson Taylor nearly died after a car accident more than two weeks ago. He was travelling with his mother and 9-years-old sister in their car when it smashed head-on with another vehicle. X-rays revealed that the force of the crash had left the worst type of injury on Jackson’s head. Surgeons, however, brought back the hopes for the recovery in a 6-hour operation, using a tiny piece of wire and a part of the patient’s own rib. Jackson now has to wear a specially-fitted brace over his head for almost two months as the tissues and nerves heal.
