Press TV has conducted an interview with Shabbir Hassanally, activist and Islamic scholar from London, and Lee Kaplan, investigative journalist from San Francisco, to discuss the significance of International Quds Day and the plight of the Palestinian nation.
Hassanally says International Quds Day belongs to all people around the world that oppose tyranny and injustice, adding that the whole Zionist entity called Israel has been set up by terrorists based on “lies and theft.”
He pointed to the sufferings of Gazans living under an Israeli siege and said such restrictions have turned the Gaza Strip into a kind of concentration camp, while no one knows the exact scale of disaster in the coastal enclave.
Gazans have resorted to resistance against Israel as a result of the Tel Aviv regime’s blockade, he added.
Hassanally says people around the world have understood the reality about Israel, and that is why millions of people mark International Quds Day every year.
Meanwhile, Kaplan claims that Israel has imposed a blockade on the Gaza Strip because Palestinian resistance movement Hamas wants to kill Israelis. He argues that Israel was established by the United Nations, and it has not occupied Palestinian lands.
