  1. Millions of people have held rallies worldwide to mark the International Quds Day. The demonstrators took to the streets in solidarity with Palestinians. They also demanded the liberation of Palestine from the Israeli occupation. Quds Day is considered an international day of struggle against Israel and for liberation of Jerusalem al-Quds.
  2. The leader of Lebanon’s resistance movement Hezbollah has slammed Israel as a hypocrite entity which is the source of terrorism. Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Tel Aviv has formed an alliance with certain Arab regimes and they are now supporting Takfiri militants in Syria, Iraq and elsewhere in the region.
  3. Leader of Yemen's Ansarullah movement Abdul-Malik al-Houthi says Saudi Arabia is serving Israel’s interests by supporting Takfiri groups. He also said the Israeli-Saudi collaboration is aimed at dividing and weakening the region. Houthi also warned Riyadh of the consequences of its efforts in endangering the region.
  4. At least four Yemeni people have been killed as Saudi forces attacked a truck in Yemen’s Shabwah province, ahead of a humanitarian pause which was supposed to take place 21-hundred GMT. Riyadh has demanded assurances for implementing the truce. The Leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement also says he is not hopeful over the ceasefire.
  5. Russian President Vladimir Putin says he believes that Iran and the P5+1 countries will reach a compromise in nuclear talks soon. He also criticized the use of sanctions for pressuring other countries stressing that Moscow supports lifting all anti-Iran sanctions.
  6. Greek finance minister Euclid Tsa-ka-lotos has expressed optimism that many of Athens’ requests regarding debt relief will be accepted by eurozone partners. Meanwhile, Greek lawmakers have convened to discuss and vote on the government’s new economic reforms proposed to creditors. An anti-austerity protest was also held outside the parliament.
  7. Thousands have gathered in the U-S state of South Carolina to take part in the ceremony of removing the Confederate flag. South Carolina governor approved the flag's removal from statehouse grounds on Thursday. The issue has been hotly debated since a terrorist shooting at a historic African-American church in Charleston last month.
  8. At least 24 people have been killed in a stampede during a clothes giveaway in Mymen-singh city in northern Bangladesh. The stampede occurred when hundreds of people tried to force their way into a factory compound through a small gate. The factory had announced they would distribute free clothes to the poor.
