A decision not to prosecute the Welsh politician Lord Janner over alleged child sexual abuse is set to be overturned after independent review.
Lord Janner has been accused of abusing dozens of victims during the 70's and 80's but a decision in April by the Crown Prosecution Service decided not to prosecute Janner based on ill health. The decision was strongly criticised after it emerged other alleged paedophiles that have been diagnosed with dementia, the same illness Janner has were still reviewed through the court. But now after a barrister who has reviewed the evidence as part of an independent review has said there should be a hearing of these allegations. Should the decision be overturned the director of public prosecutions Alison Saunders could face mounting pressure to resign.

Rochdale MP, Simon Danczuk said: “I am pleased to hear the suggestion that Janner will finally face justice: the alleged victims deserve this. The allegations against him are horrific, and we need to hear the facts before a court."
All suggestions are that Saunders reached the wrong conclusion in April and this is not the first time she has made a major mistake, She has struggled in some of her decisions to pursue journalists through the courts, too. Her job is all about judgement.”

The family of Lord Janner claim he is completely innocent, but the Crown Prosecution Service say there is enough evidence to prosecute him for 22 offences against nine people.
Critics have long argued that those in powerful positions have been protected against allegations of abuse and wrong doing. Westminster is currently facing a crisis whereby it appears several politicians, many that have been in high profile positions are being accused of child sexual abuse. It appears that more allegations are set to come out in what is a massive problem for the government.
