In the US, another white police officer involved in shooting death of an unarmed man of mixed race is expected to walk free.
District Attorney Ismael Ozanne has announced that he wouldn't file any charge against officer Matt Kenny, who fatally shot 19-year-old Tony Robinson. The shooting happened in an apartment house near the Wisconsin State Capitol building on March six. Police claim the officer was responding to calls that Robinson was running in and out of traffic and had assaulted two people. They say the officer resorted to live fire only in self-defense. The city's black community, however, rejected the police account and mounted daily rallies for a week after the shooting. The demonstrators demanded Kenny be fired and charged with homicide.
