Press TV has conducted an interview with Mkhaimar Abusada, a professor at al-Azhar University in Gaza, to discuss a call by the United Nations human rights office on Israel to end the unlawful practice of detaining Palestinians without charge or trial.

Abusada said the Palestinians may have a successful case against the Israeli aggressive measures in the International Criminal Court (ICC) and thereby force Tel Aviv to stop its administrative detentions and ill-treatment of Palestinian detainees.

He said Israel's ill-treatment of Palestinian prisoners is in violation of the international conventions and amounts to war crimes.

However, Israel has always neglected international law since it began the occupation of Palestinian territories, the analyst said.
