Senior Iranian minister discusses bilateral developments with Lebanon

Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati has met with top Lebanese officials in Beirut to discuss Iranian-Lebanese ties as well as regional developments.

Janati has met Lebanese Culture Minister Rony Araiji, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Tamam Salam. Jannati spoke of ways to further expand cultural ties between the two nations.

Also, the Lebanese culture minister says ties between the two nations date back to early civilizations which were present in Lebanon.

Jannati stressed the importance of Lebanon's security and stability on the region as a whole. He also emphasized that Iran and Lebanon cooperation in fighting terrorism in the region is very important.

The Iranian culture minister and Lebanese top officials have discussed critical regional issues. Jannati has stressed that Lebanon’s stability greatly reflects on the regional stability. However, with all that's happening in the country, the Iranian minister assured Beirut of Tehran's continuous support to sponsor security and stability in Lebanon.
