US forces must be tried over war crimes in Iraq: Analyst
Press TV has conducted an interview with Mike Harris, editor of Veterans Today from Portland, to discuss a ruling by a US federal judge that the government must release photographs showing American forces’ abuse of detainees in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Harris believes this ruling is long overdue, adding that it should be realized that everything about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were based on lies.
He also says when such criminality occurs at the Department of Defense and in the rank of the US military, the Americans need to go in and hold those people who are acting as war criminals accountable even if it includes former Vice President Dick Cheney and former President George W. Bush.
Harris further notes the US government has been hijacked by the Israeli lobby and it does not represent the American people any longer.
