Iran's Spanish-language Hispan TV wins prestigious intl. award
Iran's Spanish-language television channel, Hispan TV has won the prestigious award for the best international Spanish TV channel in Mexico.
Hispan TV director Ali Ejaredar received the Golden Microphone Award from Mexico's National Association authorities in the capital Mexico City. The Iranian channel won the honor for significant broadcasting activities and diveristy of programs. The ceremony was attended by prominent figures from Spanish-speaking media and Iranian embassy officials in the Mexican capital. Last year, Hispan TV managed to win the prominent International Journalism Award from Mexico's Journalists's Club. Hispan TV is the first Spanish-language TV network in the Middle East. It began broadcasting in December 2011.
