Press TV has conducted an interview with Manuel Ochsenreiter, the editor-in-chief of Zuerst, in Berlin, to discuss the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine despite a recent ceasefire deal.

Ochsenreiter believes there will be no permanent peace in Ukraine as long as the colonization policies of the West continue. He says the Ukrainian conflict is about geopolitical spheres of influence and Western attempts to turn the world into a unipolar environment. He further maintain that the government of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is a Western proxy sitting in Kiev and is getting support from the European Union as well as the United States, adding that it has a clear mission to gain power in this very important geopolitical spot next to Russia.
