Press TV has conducted an interview with Max Igan, a radio host and political commentator, to discuss the challenges surrounding the leadership of embattled Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott.
Igan says Abbott has displayed poor performance and faced a torrent of criticism over policy decisions over his handling of the economy, budget and immigration issues.
However, Igan maintains that an ongoing revolt within the premier’s Liberal Party, which can result in his removal, wouldn’t solve the problem immediately.
The extreme right-wing policies being practiced by the ruling party and previous administrations are the root cause of all the troubles faced by Australi, the analyst says.
