Iran military power

The spokesman for Iran's armed forces says Americans will never be allowed to play any role in the management of the Strait of Hormuz. Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said if Americans try to interfere in Hormuz affairs, they will be slapped hard in the face by the Iranian Armed Forces. Shakarchi made the remarks in a televised interview. He said Americans have no choice, but to leave West Asia, and the sooner they leave, they will suffer less damage. Shekarchi noted that the region will certainly be safer following the US' withdrawal. He said the US will never reclaim its past position in the new world order and the Islamic Republic, as a world power, will not allow this. The general stressed that the Hormuz Strait is in full control of Iran, and any ship trying to transit the waterway through a route not authorized by Iran will not be safe. Shekarchi noted that in case of any new aggression against Iran, the country’s forces will respond with new military technologies. He stressed that the Iranian Armed Forces are in very good shape; the country has more advanced missiles, drones, and military technologies; and its enemies will face new surprises in case of a possible aggression.

Iran controlling Hormuz

The Persian Gulf Strait Authority has once again warned all vessels against crossing the Hormuz Strait through illegal and unauthorized routes, stressing that such a move will carry significant risks. The authority said it has received reports indicating that some charterers force vessels to transit the strait via illegal routes. It added that this measure not only carries the risk of financial and manpower losses for the vessel, its owner, captain, and crew, but also severely restricts the vessel's future passage through the Hormuz Strait. The authority said shipowners must be vigilant about such illegal actions by some charterers. It warned that if charterers are found to be in violation, these companies will be added to the Non-Compliant List and all their vessels will be restricted from passing through the strait. The authority also released an email received from shipowners apologizing for unauthorized transit of their ships through the Hormuz Strait. They said the unauthorized transit was the result of mandatory and direct instructions issued by the charterers. The owners added that they fully recognize the authority's complete jurisdiction over the Hormuz Strait.

'US, Israel abetting terrorism'

Iran's president says the United States and Israel are root causes of instability in the West Asia region. Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that they do not honor their promises and agreements, and say something new every day. Pezeshkian was addressing reporters upon his return from New York where he took part in the 81st UN General Assembly session. He said Tehran engaged in negotiations with Washington, so that the world would not think Iran is afraid of talks or is stoking instability, but the Americans did not abide by the agreement they had signed. Pezeshkian said Iran has no illogical demands and only pursues its right within the framework of international laws and commitments. He stressed that Iran will not give in to any demand that the other side makes. He noted that those who actively aid and abet terrorism, accuse Iran of terrorism. Pezeshkian said the US is behind many assassinations around the world and trains terrorists, and Israel also assassinates people anywhere in the world with the US support, and they claim to be fighting terrorism.
