‘No current talks with US’
Iran’s foreign minister says no decision has been made yet to resume talks with the US, as Washington has violated the Islamabad memorandum of understanding. Araghchi also said, Iran’s talks with Oman are ongoing, adding that this is an entirely separate issue and is different from opening of the Hormuz Strait. He said talks with Oman focus on technical matters related to defining maritime routes for the passage of ships in the waterway. Araghchi said teams of experts, along with the armed forces of Iran and Oman, are working on a temporary shipping route that could later be developed into a permanent one. Earlier, in a phone call with his Greek counterpart, the Iranian foreign minister said the current insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz is the direct result of US-Israeli aggression against Iran.
