Countering adverse propaganda
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution says the Iranian people have foiled the enemies' attempts to alter the nation’s religious, historical, and cultural identity, stressing that Iran continues to make a headway despite challenges and shortages. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei advised that appropriate approaches be adopted against antagonistic propaganda campaigns targeting the people’s minds, hearts, and beliefs. He noted that in recent decades, Iranians, on the back of steadfastness in the face of widespread pressure, have repeatedly thwarted such hostile efforts. The leader also cautioned against those who deliberately push the notion of a potential new military aggression against Iran to worry the public, which he said would fail to weaken the people's morale.
Venezuela slams US 'piracy'
Venezuela has strongly condemned the US seizure of an oil tanker off the country’s coast in the Caribbean, calling the move an act of international piracy. Cabello said the real reasons behind the prolonged aggression against Caracas have now been exposed. He said fighting drug trafficking is just a justification. Cabello said the reason has always been about Venezuela’s natural wealth, its oil, its energy, and the resources that belong solely to the Venezuelan people. He added that Caracas will appeal the seizure to all available international bodies. The condemnation follows a statement by US President Donald Trump, announcing the seizure of an oil tanker off Venezuela’s coast.
Gaza humanitarian catastrophe
Israeli military operations continue to hit the Gaza Strip amid a worsening humanitarian crisis. Artillery fire, hitting a home in Jabalia, killed one person and wounded several others. More strikes were reported in Gaza City and al Zaytoun neighborhood. Meanwhile, heavy rains from Storm Byron have flooded the streets and soaked tents, worsening conditions for displaced families. In Khan Younis, an infant died from severe cold. UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese says Palestinians are left to freeze and starve as Israel blocks vital shelter supplies. Since the beginning of the genocidal war, more than 70,000 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children. over 171,000 others have been injured.
