Israeli atrocities against Palestinians
The Israeli military has launched fresh airstrikes in Gaza defying the ceasefire with Hamas. Air raids targeted Beit Lahiya, eastern Gaza City, and Khan Younis in the south. Since the truce began, near daily attacks have killed at least 260 people. Israel’s genocidal war which began in October 2023 has so far killed around 69,200 Palestinians. Meanwhile, Hamas says al-Quds and Qassam Brigades will hand over the body of another Israeli captive later today. This will bring the number of retuned captives to 25 out of 28. Under the truce deal, captives’ remains have been exchanged for the bodies of 360 Palestinian fighters, with Israel returning about 300 of them so far. Hamas has repeatedly criticized Israel for restricting special equipment and crews from entering Gaza to facilitate retrieving the bodies.
Israel Lebanon aggression
Israeli forces have launched new attacks across southern Lebanon, including a drone strike on a civilian vehicle in the town of Toul. The strike took place in a densely populated area while students were leaving school. Earlier, Israeli warplanes bombed Lebanese villages in Bint Jbeil and Tyre, causing heavy damage but no casualties. Meanwhile, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun says Israel’s continued hostilities and its failure to implement the November 2024 agreement are preventing Lebanon’s army from completing its deployment along the southern borders.
Adverseries warned
A senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps has warned adversaries against any aggression against Iran. Brigadier General Seyyed Majid Mousavi, chief commander of IRGC Aerospace Force, made the remarks during a ceremony in Tehran honoring the force’s martyred commanders. He pledged to continue the martyrs’ path whose legacy has served as the foundation of Iran’s defense power. Mousavi paid tribute to Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, praising his strategic vision in identifying and countering threats against the nation. Similarly, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, a senior spokesman of Iranian armed forces, reaffirmed Iran will never waver in gaining further strength.
