Israeli Lebanon atrocities
The Israeli regime has announced the launch of a new wave of attacks against Lebanon, further violating the ceasefire agreement with the Arab country. Several areas in southern Lebanon have been bombed, including the villages of Taybeh and Aita al-Jabal, near the Palestinian-Lebanese border. The Israeli occupation forces have issued evacuation orders for several southern Lebanese villages. A lumber factory between the towns of Tura and Abbasiya was struck, with at least one person reported dead in the attack. In a letter to the Lebanese administration, Hezbollah, already rejected any notion of disarmament as part of the November 2024 ceasefire deal with Israel, calling such demands unacceptable. Hezbollah stressed it will not bow to Israel's "blackmail and extortion."
Israel Gaza truce violations
Israel has launched fresh strikes on the Gaza Strip in a clear breach of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas. The latest ground offensive has reduced the Kuwait Roundabout in southern Gaza to rubble. Israeli forces also carried out a wave of airstrikes and demolition operations east of Gaza City. At least one Palestinian was killed when a war-damaged building collapsed on its residents in Gaza City's Al-Daraj neighborhood. Meanwhile five Palestinian detainees released by Israel have arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza. According to local health officials, the death toll from the genocidal war since October 2023 has neared 68-thousand-900, with 170,680 others injured.
Killer typhoon
Typhoon Kalmaegi, the most powerful tropical storm to hit Asia this year, has killed at least 114 people in the Philippines. The storm has made landfall in central Vietnam after moving west across the South China Sea, forcing thousands to flee low-lying areas. Officials say six airports have been closed and hundreds of flights cancelled. Ahead of Typhoon's arrival, Vietnam was already battling with floods and record rains with at least 35 people killed and more than 100,000 homes flooded. Kalmaegi’s remnants are expected to bring heavy rains to parts of Cambodia and eastern Thailand in the coming days.
