US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

More Palestinian civilians fall victim to the Israeli genocide in Gaza, as the regime’s unrelenting airstrikes and artillery fire continue across the blockaded territory. An Israeli air raid targeted a house in Gaza City’s al-Zaytoun neighborhood, killing several civilians, mostly women and children, while injuring a number of others. Regime’s warplanes also struck a house in the al-Bureij refugee camp, killing at least one civilian and injuring several others. In the town of al-Mughraqa in central Gaza, an Israeli drone targeted a group of civilians, killing five and injuring eight others. Meanwhile, Israeli shelling of a residential tower in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza left several civilians dead and injured. The regime’s artillery fire also hit civilian houses in al-Mawasi area of Rafah in southern Gaza, causing casualties. Gaza health officials say nearly 40 Palestinians were killed in the past 24 hours. The death toll from the regime’s genocide now exceeds 37,200.

'US complicit in genocide'

Hamas has strongly condemned recent remarks by the United States' top diplomat, who blamed the movement for Gaza ceasefire stalemate. Hamas said Antony Blinken’s statements were aimed at exonerating Israel and attest to the US complicity in Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza. The movement said it has dealt positively with the latest Gaza ceasefire proposal and other proposals put forth earlier. Hamas added that it has publicly endorsed President Joe Biden’s call for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the UN Security Council’s resolution calling for a truce. It stressed that unlike Hamas, Israel has not showed any positive reaction to the latest truce proposal and continues to reject any permanent ceasefire. Hamas said the Israeli regime has never approved the US proposal, in contrast with Blinken's claim that the regime has approved it. The statement called on Washington to put direct pressure on Tel Aviv to accept a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

Yemen retaliatory operations

The Yemeni army says it has conducted fresh operations targeting an Israel-bound vessel in the Red Sea and vital targets in the occupied territories. Yemen’s army spokesman said the country’s forces targeted the ship using an unmanned surface boat as well as a number of drones and ballistic missiles. Yahya Saree added that the operation inflicted serious damage to the ship and made it vulnerable to sinking. The spokesman said the ship was targeted after the company operating it violated the decision to ban entry into the ports of the occupied Palestine. He added that in addition to the vessel, Yemen’s armed forces carried out two joint military operations along with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq. Saree said the first operation struck a critical target in Ashdod using winged missiles, while the second operation hit a key target in Haifa using drones. He said the operations were carried out in solidarity with Palestinian people. The Iraqi resistance also confirmed the joint operations in a separate statement.
