Israel onslaught on Gaza

Israel’s relentless bombardment of the Gaza Strip keeps taking a heavy toll on the civilian population in the besieged Palestinian territory. At least 20 people have been killed in airstrikes in the southern city of Rafah. Several children were among those killed in Rafah. The city has been packed with tens of thousands of displaced civilians. Israeli airstrikes have been pounding locations across Gaza, including southern parts that Israel had declared as safe zones. To the north, the regime’s troops have raided Kamal Adwan hospital after laying siege to the complex for a couple of days. Several staff members, including the head of the hospital, were killed in the attack. Israel’s genocide in Gaza began on October 7. So far, over 18-thousand-four-hundred Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children. Over 50-thousand Palestinians have also been wounded.

'Hell on earth'

The head of the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees has expressed concern over the deepening tragedy in Gaza, likening the besieged strip to hell on earth. Philippe Lazzarini said in a social media post that Palestinians in Gaza are pleading for safety and an end to the ongoing situation. He made the remarks following his visit to Egypt’s border with the Gaza Strip. UN agencies and aid groups fear the Palestinian territory will soon be overwhelmed by starvation and disease. Several aid agencies have now warned about the continued Israeli raid on the Kamal Adwan hospital in Gaza. The Doctors Without Borders says the situation in the hospital is catastrophic. The organization says its doctors and health practitioners across Gaza are operating in conditions comparable to World War one, which took place over a century ago.

Tel Aviv under attack

The military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, has once again targeted Tel Aviv with missiles in retaliation for Israel’s ongoing deadly onslaught on Gaza. No word on possible damage or casualties. The southern city of Sderot and the settlement of Nir-Am also came under attack. The al-Qassam Brigades has, for a number of times, carried out such attacks since the beginning of the Israeli onslaught. Meanwhile, heavy fighting is underway between resistance fighters and Israeli forces in Khan Younis and eastern Gaza City. Resistance fighters say over a dozen IOF soldiers have been killed. Several Israeli military vehicles have also been targeted with rockets. The Israeli military says, 106 soldiers have been killed since the ground fighting began six weeks ago. Also, 20 more Israeli forces have been killed by their own colleagues. Palestinian resistance groups, however, believe the regime is hiding the real number of fatalities it has suffered so far.
