US-Israeli Gaza genocide

The Israeli regime has launched new strikes across the Gaza Strip, leaving more deaths and destruction across the territory. The latest attacks targeted the cities of Khan Yunis and Beit Lahiya, leaving over 70 people dead. Most of the casualties are women and children. Israeli tanks also heavily shelled southern Gaza overnight. The Israeli regime has also announced that it has launched a ground incursion into Gaza, reclaiming control of Netzarim Corridor. The key land corridor essentially cuts the Gaza Strip in half from north to south. Israeli regime resumed its all-out attacks on Gaza on Tuesday. Nearly 450 civilians including over 100 children have been killed since then.

Istanbul mayor's detention

Protests in Turkey’s capital Ankara against the detention of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu have turned violent as police attacked demonstrators. Protesters chanted anti-government slogans, demanding Imamoglu's release. Similar demonstrations and gatherings also took place in other cities, including Izmir and Trabzon. Imamoglu, a key political rival of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has been arrested on charges of corruption and terrorism. This came just a day after his university degree was revoked, effectively barring him from running in future presidential elections. Authorities have detained 100 activists and public figures, imposed strict restrictions on protests, and limited access to social media platforms. The main opposition party has condemned the arrest, describing it as a coup against the next president.
