Israel hitting Lebanon residential areas
Israeli airstrikes target more residential areas across Lebanon. Residential buildings were damaged after three separate attacks targeted several neighborhoods in Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiyeh. Lebanon’s southern regions have also come under fire as Israel’s artillery shelling and airstrikes targeted several areas across the Nabatieh governorate. In the Tyre district, at least 12 people were killed and more than a dozen injured after the regime’s artillery and drones targeted residential areas and vehicles. Meanwhile, more evacuation orders have been issued for the suburbs of southern Beirut and several other areas in south Lebanon as the regime plans for even more air raids on populated areas. Since October last year, Israeli attacks on Lebanon have claimed over 3,750 civilian lives and left more than 15,600 others injured.
Gaza genocide raging
At least two-dozen Palestinians have been killed and over 70 injured in a day of US-Israeli genocide raging across the Gaza strip. An attack on a house near the southern city of Rafah killed four people. Israeli warplanes also struck Jabalia in the north, killing five. Another two Palestinians were killed following an Israeli assault at the front gate of the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia. The regime has also been attacking the Kamal Adwan Hospital, injuring at least 14 people in two days. The World Health Organization calls the situation there deplorable and deeply concerning. The genocide in Gaza began in October last year. Since then, over 44,200 people have been killed and nearly 105,000 injured.
Iran leader comments
The leader of Islamic Revolution has once again condemned the Israeli crimes in Lebanon and Palestine, saying Israel is a fool to think bombing civilian structures amounts to victory. Ayatollah Khamanei added that Israel has been committing war crimes in Gaza and Lebanon, rather than achieving victory. The leader pointed to the arrest warrant issued for the Israeli premier by the International Criminal Court. He said this is not enough, so he called for the issuance of a death sentence for Benjamin Netanyahu. Ayatollah Khamenei also noted that the Zionist enemy is only strengthening the resistance front by committing crimes against the Palestinians and the Lebanese. The leader made the comments in a meeting with hundreds of members of Basij volunteer force on the anniversary of its establishment. Ayatollah Khamenei praised Basij as a key element against hegemonic powers’ plots against Iran.
