Months after a British court ruled the UK government's so-called Rwanda deportation plan is unlawful, the interior ministry has appealed to the Supreme Court to overturn the ruling.

Months after a British court ruled that the UK government's so-called Rwanda deportation plan is unlawful, the country's interior ministry has appealed to the Supreme Court to overturn that ruling. The extremely unpopular Rwanda policy would see thousands of asylum seekers arriving on British shores deported to the East African country. Rights groups have called the plan cruel and wrong.
