US 'very, very much focused' on alleged use of chemical weapons in Ukraine

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has revealed that the Americans were "focused” on the alleged use of chemical weapons in Ukraine by Russian forces.

We "have not yet verified ... [but, we're] very, very much focused" on reports regarding the alleged use of chemical weapons by Russian forces in Ukraine, Blinken was quoted as saying by RT.

Blinken, who was speaking at a hearing of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Thursday, said, "[I]n terms of the use of chemical weapons, I think what I can say here is that we have not yet verified the use but it is something we are very, very much focused on,” Blinken testified.

Russia warns West not to test its patience, vows 'tough military response'

Russia has warned Western governments that any further attack on the Russian territory would trigger tough military response from Moscow.

In past months US officials have been spreading lies and ratcheting up their propaganda machine, launching a disinformation campaign against Moscow.

Two weeks ago, State Department spokesman Ned Price said the US government was concerned that “Russia may seek to resort to chemical weapons.”

“We are concerned that they may use chemical weapons in Ukraine. We've been clear if they escalate to this level, we will respond aggressively to what they're doing,” US ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield said on CNN's "State of the Union".

US 'concerned' Russia may use chemical weapons in Ukraine

The United States says it is "concerned" that Russians "may use chemical weapons in Ukraine," ratcheting up its propaganda offensive against Moscow over the Ukraine crisis.

In the meantime, Russia warned the West against sending heavy weapons to Ukraine.

“The tendency to pump weapons, including heavy weapons into Ukraine, these are the actions that threaten the security of the continent,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in Moscow on Thursday.

Peskov told them to stop provoking and causing instability in Europe.

Earlier, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss called on their NATO allies to “ramp up” delivery of all sorts of weapons, tanks, jet planes and military equipment to Kiev. “Heavy weapons, tanks, airplanes – digging deep into our inventories, ramping up production. We need to do all of this,” she said, adding that the Russians needed to be pushed out of “the whole of Ukraine”, making reference to Crimea.
