Slamming Trump Hormuz claims

A senior Iranian lawmaker has slammed the US president’s rhetoric about having control over the Strait of Hormuz, calling his allegations ‘endless bluffing’. The head of the Iranian parliament’s committee on national security and foreign policy made the comment in a social media post. Ebrahim Azizi was reacting to Donald Trump's latest claims that Washington is in full control of the strategic waterway through the naval blockade, which he described as a wall of steel. The Iranian parliamentarian said the US president must worry about his own security instead of keeping up his endless bluffing regarding the Strait of Hormuz, before he ends up hiding in a food truck. Azizi was alluding to recent reports, which revealed that Trump took a secret flight out of Turkey following last month’s NATO meeting, because of what American media described as threats from Iran. They said Trump boarded Air Force One in view of television cameras, but then de-boarded the plane via an airport catering vehicle, and left Ankara aboard a smaller C-32A plane.

Israel Lebanon aggression

The Israeli military has carried out fresh artillery and aerial strikes across southern Lebanon in its latest violations of the ceasefire with the Arab country. According to local sources, the regime’s warplanes struck areas in Ali al-Taher and al-Dabsha in the Nabatieh region. The Israeli military also carried out artillery strikes, using banned phosphorus munitions, near the town of Kafr Roummane. The regime also targeted areas in Tyre. There are no immediate reports on possible damage or casualties. On Saturday, Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon left nearly a dozen people dead. Hezbollah condemned the attacks, saying the responsibility for the aggression lies with the US, which provides Israel with support and cover. Lebanese Parliament speaker, Nabih Berri, warned that the regime is trying to destroy all aspects of life in the South. The Iranian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson reiterated Tehran’s support for Beirut, slamming the UN Security Council’s silence and inaction in the face of Israel’s blatant violations of international law.

Israel West Bank crimes

The UN humanitarian office has warned that more than 900 Israeli physical obstacles, including checkpoints, gates, roadblocks, and other restrictions, are delaying aid to the occupied West Bank. OCHA said in a statement that obstacles erected by the regime impede the delivery of humanitarian aid, leaving those in need without sufficient services and assistance. The office cited the dire situation of three Palestinian families, who have been under siege by Israeli settlers in the village of Qusra in Nablus governorate since Tuesday. OCHA said attempts made to deliver food, water, baby formula, medicines and hygiene items to the besieged residents have been unsuccessful, after the settlers re-erected a tent that Israeli forces had dismantled. The settlers, backed by Israeli forces, have cut off water and electricity to the three besieged families in order to force them out and take over their properties. Israeli forces have prevented activists from delivering food and water to the blockaded families. The residents say instead of removing the settlers, Israeli forces allowed them to attack the homes.
