Iran nuclear program

Iran's Foreign Minister says Tehran remains open to diplomacy on its peaceful nuclear program, if Washington changes its approach and engages in mutually beneficial negotiations. Abbas Araghchi stressed that the US must acknowledge Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. He noted that negotiation is different from dictation, and for the time being, Iran is not convinced that the American side is ready for a real, serious negotiation. Araghchi stated that the core sticking point is Washington's reluctance to acknowledge Tehran’s right to peaceful nuclear technology, including uranium enrichment, under the NPT. He also referred to US-Israeli attacks on Iran's nuclear sites in June. He called the attacks "perhaps the biggest violation of international law" ever committed against a safeguarded nuclear facility under the monitoring of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Araghchi noted that Iran’s nuclear facilities and surrounding areas may now be contaminated with radioactive material, blocking the resumption of inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Israel Gaza truce violations

Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring more civilians across the war-torn territory. According to Palestinian sources, nearly ten civilians were killed on Saturday, including two civilians in Beit Lahiya, and two in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City. The fatalities in al-Zaytoun included a Palestinian woman and her son, who lost their lives after being hit with Israeli live fire. A Palestinian man was also killed by Israeli drone strikes in the Jabalia area of northern Gaza. The death toll from the Israeli genocide since October 2023 now exceeds 70,350, with over 171,000 others injured. Since the Gaza ceasefire took effect, nearly 370 civilians have been killed due to the regime’s violations. According to local sources, Israeli forces also demolished several buildings and structures in the Shejaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

West Bank resistance operation

Israeli forces have killed two young Palestinians in the occupied West Bank after they carried out a resistance operation against the regime’s forces. According to Israeli media, the shooting took place in Bab al-Zawiya area of al-Khalil. They said one soldier was wounded, though details of his injuries remain unclear. Witnesses said the two Palestinians were killed instantly as Israeli forces fired directly at their car. The regime’s forces then prevented ambulance crews from reaching the scene, sealed off the area, and abducted the bodies of the slain Palestinians. The incident is the latest in a series of violent Israeli incursions which have left many Palestinians dead and led to the abduction of many others across the occupied territory. Hamas hailed the operation as a response to the regime’s ongoing aggression and daily crimes against Palestinians and their holy sites in the West Bank.
