Genocide in Gaza

Fresh Israeli airstrikes have claimed the lives of more Palestinians in Gaza, as the genocidal war on the besieged territory continues unabated. At least 10 Palestinians have lost their lives in attacks across Gaza since dawn on Tuesday. In the latest attacks, at least three people were killed south of Gaza City, while an Israeli shelling of a residential building in the same city left several others injured. Artillery shelling and gunfire were also reported in the center and north of Khan Yunis, killing two people. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocide since October 2023 has risen above 67,100, with more than 169,600 others injured.

US complicity in Gaza genocide

A new study exposes the extent of the US complicity in Israel's genocide in Gaza. An academic report has revealed that Washington has given a whopping amount of 21.7 billion dollars in military aid to Israel since the start of the Gaza war. The findings, published by Brown University, reveal that just in the first year of the war, Washington supplied 17.9 billion dollars in military assistance to Israel. The report argues that such support has been instrumental in enabling Israel to continue its genocidal war in Gaza, and that the regime’s prolonged military operations would not have continued without US backing. Also, a separate report under the same study suggests the US has spent nearly 10 billion dollars more on security aid and operations in the broader West Asia in the past two years. That includes its acts of aggression against Yemen and Iran.

Slamming anti-Iran statement

Iran has condemned interventionist and baseless claims mentioned in a joint statement by the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union. The claims are directed at Iran’s sovereignty over three Persian Gulf islands as well as the country’s peaceful nuclear program and defense capabilities. Foreign Minister Esmail Baqaei reiterated Iran’s absolute and indisputable sovereignty over the islands of Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa. He said, repeating unfounded claims on the islands do not change the geographical and historical realities. Elsewhere in his remarks, Baqaei slammed, as unacceptable, the claims mentioned in the joint statement about Iran’s defense capabilities. He denounced some EU states, including France and Germany, for their all-out support for Israel as the only possessor of nuclear weapons in the region. The spokesman expressed regret that members of the GCC have joined Europeans in their hypocritical approach toward the West Asia region.
