Starving Gaza to death

As the Israeli regime’s brutal blockade persists, more reports emerge warning of famine in Gaza. According to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification, 93% of Gaza’s population is living through high levels of acute food insecurity, with 12% experiencing “catastrophic levels.” The IPC says nearly double the figure is projected to fall into the catastrophic category by the end of September. The NGO Save the Children also reported that nearly every Gaza child is at risk of famine. It's warned that one million children are at risk of starvation, disease and ultimately death if urgent action is not taken to end the siege. The Israeli regime continues attacking the besieged Strip. One strike hit a school sheltering the displaced in Jabalia in the north, killing 16. The Gaza death toll has surpassed 52,800 with over 119,600 injured since the start of the genocidal war.

Gaza ceasefire efforts

The Palestinian Resistance Movement, Hamas, has confirmed the release of Israeli-American captive Edan Alexander. Hamas announced the release, citing mediation efforts linked to ceasefire talks and humanitarian aid entry into Gaza. The group described ongoing negotiations as positive and urged serious discussions for the release of all detainees, warning that continued aggression could lead to further suffering. Hamas also reiterated readiness for immediate talks aimed at a comprehensive agreement, including a permanent ceasefire, troop withdrawal, prisoner exchange, and the reconstruction of Gaza. The movement urged Trump’s administration to continue efforts to stop the war, accusing the Israeli Prime Minister of war crimes against civilians in Gaza.

Iran warns enemies

Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces has emphasized the country's full preparedness to counter any potential threat. Major General Mohammad Bagheri expressed full confidence in intelligence dominance and combat readiness during a visit to the southern city of Bandar Abbas. Bagheri also warned those who threaten Iran that any confrontation would be costly and undesirable. He stated that enemies could initiate a conflict but Iran is the one to determine its end. The warning came a week after the Israeli regime threatened that "it will do to Iran what it has done to Hamas".
