Poland’s Robert Lewandowski has beaten last year's winner Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to be crowned the Best Men’s Player for 2020.
Lewandowski was announced as the winner during a virtual event in Zurich. The Bayern Munich striker scored 55 goals in just 47 matches last season, helping the German giants to a treble.
He also finished as the top scorer in the BundesLiga, the German Cup, and the Champions League.
For the Best Coach Award, Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp was recognized for the second successive year, this time for leading The Merseyside Reds to their first Premier League title.
The German had also won the award in 2019, after lifting the Champions League trophy with Liverpool and finishing second in the Premier League.
