CCTV footage captured in the reception of a Beirut hotel shows the moment a shockwave hit after an explosion in the city's port on Tuesday.

The videos show the owner and employee startled by the initial explosion, before a shockwave smashes the hotel's glass.

Dozens are still missing after the blast that injured 5,000 people and left up to a quarter of a million without homes fit to live in.

A security source said the death toll had reached 145, and officials said the figure was likely to rise.

Lebanon's president blamed the explosion on 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate, used in fertilizers and bombs, that had been stored for six years at the port. He promised to investigate and hold those responsible to account.
