Iran military power

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps says Iranian forces are ready in all areas of defense, including on land, in the sea, and in the air, to deal with any possible aggression by the enemies. The IRGC's deputy commander-in-chief, Major General Mostafa Izadi, said Iranian forces have created a strong and unified defensive front across the country. He added that the enemy is in a precarious situation and, to cover up its unfavorable conditions, continues to make new claims. The general noted that just in the same way that the enemy was defeated in previous wars, if it makes the slightest move, it will face defeat again. Izadi stressed that if the enemies attack the country, Iranian forces will resist to the end, push them back, and will not allow them to seize even a single inch of the Iranian soil. The general noted that Iran will continue to stand by the resistance front to the end in order to defend divine values, justice, and truth, and support the deprived people in the region and the world.

Slamming UK accusations

Tehran has strongly condemned the British foreign minister’s remarks about Iran being an aggressor in the region, saying London cannot hide its role in the ongoing West Asia insecurity by raising such accusations. The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman made the comment in a social media post after Ed Miliband accused Iran of aggression, including in the Strait of Hormuz. Esmaeil Baqaei said the chaos engulfing the West Asia region is the consequence of unlawful interventions, including those backed or contributed to by the UK. He stressed that portraying Iran as the “aggressor” after two rounds of unlawful aggression against it in just nine months, while pursuing negotiations, is a grotesque reversal of victim and aggressor. Baqaei said Miliband’s claim marks another low in the UK’s long record of hostile campaigns against Iran. He noted that Miliband’s accusation against Iran is similar to portraying Nazi Germany as a “defender of peace” while casting the UK and its allies in World War II as the aggressors.

Israel online spying

Two new reports have revealed that an Israeli digital advertising agency spied on internet users through a network of online ads that it used to track targets and hack their devices. The reports, prepared by two research groups, said the Israeli agency, called Discover-Tech, provided services to an Israeli spyware company and other Israeli surveillance firms. It gave them access to advertising platforms run by Google, Russia's Yandex and others. The reports noted that Discover-Tech's online ads reached more than 120,000 websites and 75,000 apps through its various partnerships. Users who visited sites or used apps with the malicious ads could be identified and tracked by Discover-Tech, which would sometimes try to extract phone numbers from some smartphone users. The research groups said ads only needed to load on a website for the spying to occur, adding that some ads would be used to help plant spyware on users' devices.
