US-Israeli Gaza genocide
Israeli forces press ahead with their genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, killing more Palestinian civilians across the besieged territory. Israel’s fresh air and artillery strikes primarily targeted Gaza City, resulting in numerous civilian casualties across multiple neighborhoods. Several casualties were reported after Israeli warplanes struck groups of Palestinians in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, and a northwestern area of Gaza City. Another airstrike targeted civilians near the al-Ahli Hospital in central Gaza City, causing casualties. In the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, northwest of Gaza City, three civilians were killed in a strike on two residential homes. A subsequent drone strike targeted a tent sheltering displaced persons, killing three more civilians. The regime’s army also continued to blow up homes and buildings using explosives-laden robots, while drones dropped bombs on civilian homes. Medical sources reported six new deaths due to Israel’s starvation war, increasing the total toll to 393 deaths, including 140 children. The death toll from the Israeli genocide has surpassed 64,520, with nearly 163,100 others injured.
Israeli crimes in Gaza
Hamas has strongly slammed the silence and inaction of UN institutions, especially the Security Council, in the face of Israel’s brutal crimes against Palestinians. The movement said inaction of UN institutions reveals the double standards that govern these international bodies. Hamas added that their silence is also indicative of the comprehensive collapse of the existing international system of values and principles. The movement’s remarks came after Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, threatened to destroy dozens of residential towers in Gaza City, and displace their residents. Hamas said Netanyahu’s threats represent one of the most horrific forms of sadism and criminality for a war criminal, who has been committing brutal atrocities against civilians for nearly two years. It also described Netanyahu’s threats as a blatant and unprecedented violation of international laws and conventions. Hamas called on all free nations and peoples of the world to intensify measures against the fascist Zionist entity, and force it to halt its crimes and violations against the Palestinian people.
Rejecting Arab League accusations
Iran has strongly rejected the false claims and baseless accusations raised against Tehran in the final statement of the Arab League Foreign Ministers meeting. In a statement, the Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Iran's undisputed sovereignty over the three Persian Gulf islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb, as inseparable parts of the country’s territory. The ministry said repetition of baseless claims in similar statements will not cause any change in the geographical, historical, and legal realities of those islands. The ministry also rejected the baseless accusation about Iran sending military equipment to Yemen and interfering in the internal affairs of that country. It noted that making such false claims, which are largely fabricated by the Zionist regime, will not help advance the interests of the Islamic Ummah. It advised the Arab League’s members to avoid any action or remark that would divert regional and global attention from the main issue of the region and the Islamic world, which is the ongoing Israeli genocide in the occupied Palestine.
