Trump’s policy: Arming genocide, silencing dissent
As part of its policy of crackdown on freedom of speech, the US government has demanded a one-billion-dollar settlement from the University of California over pro-Palestine protests.
The Trump administration has also frozen nearly 200 million dollars in research grants to the UCLA over such protests. Slamming the Trump administration’s demand, the UCLA governor termed the demand extortion. He said Trump was trying to silence academic freedom by targeting the UCLA.
According to the UCLA governor, California State will sue the Trump Administration for a 1bn settlement demand. In this episode, Spotlight looks at Trump’s policy of arming genocide and silencing dissent.
